What an awesome day!!  Seriously, is that not the cutest pic you have ever seen?!!  That is Darby with her friend Kylie.  They spent their first months together in Lianjiang, China in the Guangdong Province.

Our friends from Charlotte, the Millers, drove in for the Chinese New Year Festival in Raleigh and we took our girls and celebrated!  But first, pics of the girls in their silk dresses with moms:

Now, on to the festival....

This woman is singing traditional Chinese opera.  I have only heard this genre in a movie, but she sounded like she is really good from my limited ear.  Super cool, regardless.

This man is making a string honey candy (Dragon Whiskers.)  Amazing to watch and pretty yummy too.  He took a solid, cold piece of honey and kept stretching and breaking it and stretching and breaking it and you can see what he ended up with.  He said his grandfather taught him to make the candy.
