How could it possibly have been a year since Darby was placed in my arms for the first time?!  When I look at these pics of that day now, they make me a little sad.  Darby was so confused and scared and overwhelmed. 

What a difference a year makes!!  We are soooo blessed!!

Stephen and I have had fun thinking back to what we were doing at exactly a particular moment while we were in China.  It’s 9:30am Eastern time as I write this.  One year ago today it was 9:30pm on Monday, Gotcha Day.  Darby was sound asleep, totally exhausted after the long day she had had.  Stephen was in the office working on our blog.  I was lying on the sofa feeling “green.”  And in less than an hour, I was retching.  What a day!!

Happy Gotcha Day to all our fellow Guangdong families!!

And please say a prayer for the people in China.  They have had record breaking snows that have crippled transportation throughout the country.  Families traveling home for the Chinese New Year (comparable to Christmas here) have been stranded and even food supplies have been threatened.
